How did you start in the industry?
Almost all of my jobs prior to graduating college revolved around lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons, in 2000 I left the corporate world as a senior project engineer to manage a large privately owned Swim & Tennis club. In 2003 we became the owners of that club. In 2007 George partnered with 2 pool builders to start a construction & renovation business and I began doing design and sales for that company. After obtaining my General Contractor license in 2013, the original partnership split, and George & I formed Vue Custom Construction, a design, build & renovation company for custom gunite pools and outdoor living spaces.

Interests/hobbies/ways to spend free time?
Love international travel, trying new food, and cooking. Also, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, attending sporting events, and just about anything involving water.

Anything else to share?
Grew up in upstate NY & majored in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University ’93. Moved to NC in ’93 and met/married George in 2000. We’ve resided in downtown Greensboro since 1997 and currently have 3 rescue pets; 2 dogs & a cat. Played a lot of sports growing up including pitcher for fastpitch softball, crew (rowing) & swimming. Trained & Completed (4x) the 3 Day MS 50mile challenge walk. For my recent milestone birthday 2/2021, I got to swim with the Whale Sharks in La Paz Mexico, which was a bucket list item for me. Since 2020 I strived to meet the walk the year challenge: 2021 miles in 2021. I’m hoping to hike Machu Pichu with my cousins in 2023.
